Realtor and Designer
Savannah College of Art & Design - BFA
Central St. Martins, London England - MA
Born and raised in Atlanta, Meaghan McCord went to Savannah College of Art and Design before moving to New York City to explore her design background. This native southerner also spent time across the pond, completing her Master’s at the prestigious Central St. Martins in London, England before moving back to Atlanta. After a successful career as a jewelry designer, sales assistant and associate interior designer, Meaghan combines her talents as a successful Realtor, stager and interior designer.
Meaghan joined the Engel and Volkers Buckhead Atlanta office in October 2017. Previously she was with Follow Brightstar with Keller Williams Atlanta Midtown. Meaghan’s work prior to her Realtor days was filled with staging and home management, where average days on market for re-sale properties was around 10. She also teamed up with her mother and teammate, Mary Bairstow, working on new construction projects including designing and specifying interior and exterior finishes with a variety of builders most notably Jim Chapman Fine Homes and Jim Chapman Communities. As a team, McCord and Bairstow, applying their skills at design brought custom home sophistication to spec homes from the $500,000 to $1.9 million.
An added asset that Meaghan brings to her real estate clients and builders is the home management and merchandising of the property. Often called “staging” Meaghan’s collaborative work with Mary far out shines their competitors with the use of original artwork, high end furnishings, rustic charm and attention to detail the accessories provided. The latter is a nod to her former years as a jeweler- where every little bit matters. This mother- daughter duo’s success lies in having sales within the first 72 hours of listing shows the acceptance and enthusiasm their work brings to the home selling process.
Meaghan is in the New Homes division and currently the co-agent on The Homestead at Ridgewood Heights with Jim Chapman and co-agent for the Eco Cottages @ East Point, a tiny home community in East Point currently in the final stages of zoning and permitting. Her design skills are not limited to interiors and jewelry- she also was a major contributor in branding Eco Cottages @ East Point. Meaghan is experienced as both a buyer’s and seller’s agent working with new homes and re-sales.
Meaghan’s unique approach to the real estate in combination with the tenure Mary brings to the table, makes this an unstoppable team!
